Why do I need a Fireproof ID tag? 

When you use your drome commercially in the Netherlands, you are obligated by the Dutch law  to register your drone in the Registry of Dutch Civil Aircrafts (Dutch: Het Register van Nederlandse burgerluchtvaartuigen). In order to complete your registation you have to prove that your drone has an ID tag with the proper information mounted to it. This will be checked by the Dutch Inspection of Environment and Transport (Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport). Your Fireproof ID should include a PH-number and the details of the drone user. The same information has to be mounted onto your remote controller of the thereto registered drone. 

What is a PH-number? 

A PH-number is similar to a license plate, it shows that your drone is registered properly. The PH number contains the characters PH followed by a number/character/character combination.

How do I obtain a PH-number?

You can request a PH-number by calling +31(0)88 489 0000 and request to speak to someone of the Dutch Civil Aicraft Registry (or press options 1-1-4).
